Michigan’s Legislative Leaders Tackle Big Issues on Mackinac

Stephen Henderson and Nolan Finley of the Detroit News moderate a panel discussion at the Mackinac Policy Conference with all four leaders of the Michigan Legislature: state Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey (R-Clarklake), Senate Democratic Leader Jim Ananich (D-Flint), House Speaker Lee Chatfield (R-Levering), and House Democratic Leader Christine Greig (D-Farmington Hills).

They discuss the historic nature of the auto insurance reform legislation signed by Gov.Gretchen Whitmer last week. And they talk at length about other topics including Michigan’s crumbling roads, term limits and education funding and policy reform.
