The path to substance recovery is difficult for many folks, but for touring musicians, there are additional hurdles to maintain sobriety like constantly changing schedules.
Chris Tait of longtime Detroit rockers Electric Six launched Passenger in 2015 to help fellow musicians to find recovery support in cities across the U.S.
Now, he’s crowdsourcing funding to launch an app to allow those on tour to quickly and easily find a recovery meeting in unfamiliar locations.
CultureShift’s Amanda LeClaire spoke with Tait about the Compass recovery app.
