In The Groove with Actor & Comedian Marc Evan Jackson Ahead of the Detroit Improv Festival

Product of Detroit’s defunct Second City chapter, Jackson has appeared in films like “Kong: Skull Island”

The Detroit Improv Festival is happening this weekend with over 200 performers taking the stage. Actor and comedian Marc Evan Jackson is part of the festival and also helped found the Detroit Creativity Project, which puts improv workshops into metro-Detroit schools where theater programs may not exist. Jackson started out at Detroit’s defunct Second City chapter at the City Theatre and has appeared in TV shows like “Brooklyn Nine Nine” and movies like “Kong: Skull Island” and the upcoming “Jumanji” remake. We asked Jackson about three songs from three formative years of his life for a segment called In The Groove. Listen above.
