Direct from Broadway, Motown the Musical comes to Detroit this week.

It’s the story of the iconic sound that has been influencing music over the last 60 years.

The performance in the city that gave birth to Motown is extra special for one of the cast members.

Louis James Jackson grew up in Southfield and landed a part in the musical’s ensemble cast.

He spoke with WDET’s Amy Miller about what coming home to perform means for him
