Filling Out Brackets Can Be Maddening
NCAA tournament begins. Michigan and MSU play Friday.
The NCAA’s Division 1 basketball tournaments begin this week.
Villanova is trying to become the first men’s team to repeat as national champions since Florida won back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007. The Connecticut women’s team has won 107 games in a row, and is seeking its fifth straight national championship. The Michigan Wolverines won the Big Ten men’s tournament title and will play Oklahoma State Friday in the men’s Midwest region.
Detroit News sports writer John Niyo tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller both teams were “on the bubble” a few weeks ago. Michigan State faces Miami (Fla.) Friday.
