“Detroit Today….Tonight” to Address How Detroit’s Doing with Education

A special edition of Detroit Today will examine the state of education in Detroit.

Join us live on Monday at 7 p.m. for a special Detroit Today about how Detroit’s doing educating its children.

Detroit Superintendent Alycia Meriweather and Michigan Senate Education Chair Phil Pavlov will be in studio, along with a live audience. We’ll talk with students, teachers, parents and employers and hear the community’s concerns and priorities.

This special report will also be streamed via Facebook Live from the WDET Facebook page and recorded for use by Detroit Public Television.

It’s part of our work with the Detroit Journalism Cooperative, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the Knight Foundation.
