WSU Student-Athletes Post 3.25 GPA in Fall 2016
Warriors graduation rate is 76 percent.
Wayne State University says 73 percent of its student-athletes earned a grade-point average higher than 3.0 in the 2016 fall semester. The combined GPA for all student-athletes was 3.25, the highest in the athletic department’s history. Athletic Director Rob Fournier tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller the credit goes to the players, coaches, instructors, and staff. Fournier says 25 student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA, and the program’s graduation rate was 76 percent. Click on the audio player to hear the conversation.
