Commercials have become as much a part of the Super Bowl tradition as the game itself. While the New England Patriots‘ historic come-from-behind victory over the Atlanta Falcons generated a lot of excitement, advertisers tried to create some buzz among viewers, too. Candy maker Mars, Inc. aired a live commercial for Snickers bars early in the third quarter of Super Bowl LI. Cathy Cuckovich is a teaching fellow at Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business. She tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller she didn’t think the final product lived up to the pre-game hype.
