Behind the Scenes of Framed By WDET: Hummus Heartland

Hear about the story behind the stories of Hummus Heartland.

Hummus Heartland is a collection of stories about Detroit’s ubiquitous Middle Eastern food culture. Radio producer Zak Rosen and photographer Marvin Shaouni joined WDET’s Amanda LeClaire to talk about the stories they found united by the iconic, delicious food staple – hummus.

Join WDET on Wednesday, January 18 at Bank Suey in Hamtramck for the opening night of Hummus Heartland. Kitchen Ramarj will be on hand with hummus and other Middle Eastern dishes.
