We delve into deep cuts from the architects (and usual suspects) behind the genre such as A Tribe Called Quest (pictured), Digable Planets, The Roots, and Dream Warriors along with lesser known (but equally significant) acts such as Binary Star, Lone Catalysts, 3 Times Dope, The Pharcyde, Bahamadia, Madvillain, and many others.
It’s an excursion into the smooth and more refined aspects of progressive adult contemporary hip hop. The action takes places from 8 pm – 12 midnight on 101.9 WDET and wdet.org.
