Will the First Presidential Debate Change Minds of Voters?

Analysts say first presidential debate may reinforce rather than revise views of voters.

Tonight much of Michigan’s – and the nation’s – electorate will focus on the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Experts predict the first face-to-face debate between the presidential contenders could draw as many as 100 million viewers. That’s a Super Bowl sized crowd.

But one veteran political reporter and editor wonders if all the attention will translate into any real change in who a voter plans to cast their ballot for.

Ken Rudin, host of the program and podcast Ken Rudin’s Political Junkie, tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter the debate may do little to influence the overall presidential race.
