Art Lights Up in Brightmoor and Old Redford
4th Annual Sidewalk Festival of Performing Arts takes place Aug. 5-6
The intersection of Lahser and Grand River undergoes transformation this Aug 5th and 6th during the 4th Annual Sidewalk Festival of Performing Arts. The Old Reford and Brightmoor neighborhoods get a dose of live and interactive art throughout the 2-day event. Ryan Myers Johnson is Artistic Director and Founder of the festival. She tells WDET’s Amy Miller that she organized the one in 2012 to fill a need for innovative and place-based arts on Detroit’s northwest side.
