One of the largest freighters on the Great Lakes remains grounded on a rock reef in Lake Superior. The 833-Foot Roger Blough ran aground on Friday, May 27th. The well-known freighter draws about 28 feet of water when she is loaded, and can carry nearly 44-thousand tons of cargo. WDET’s Amy Miller spoke with U-S Coast Guard Petty Officer Christopher Yaw to find out how crews plan to get the boat off the rocks.
