Director and Detroit Native Mike Binder Talks New Thriller “Keep Calm”

Born in Detroit and raised in Birmingham, Michigan, Mike Binder is a director, screenwriter, producer and now a novelist. He joins Sandra Svoboda to talk about his first novel, Keep Calm.
Binder says he wrote the thriller set in London with a movie in mind. Binder says he could see an actor like Ryan Gosling or Mark Ruffalo playing the main character. One of the characters in Keep Calm is from Michigan. Binder says his Michigan roots are still important to him; he’s still a Tigers fan and one of his closest friends is fellow Michigan native Tim Allen.
