Homelessness is an issue seen in any major city anywhere, and Detroit is no exception. But often times we think of homelessness as an adult issue. That’s not the case. Children are often the people who are most vulnerable in cases of homelessness, and its repercussions can follow them through life. Joining Detroit Today host Stephen Henderson to discuss the plight of the homeless teenager in our region is Jerry Peterson, Executive Director of the Ruth Ellis Center in Detroit, and former homeless teen and Miss Colorado Blair Griffith who is in Detroit as part of the Start From Here national campaign to raise awareness about thousands of Detroit youths experiencing housing instability.
