Fiat Chrysler Automobiles says it is reinventing minivans with the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The vehicle will be available with a gas engine that gets travel 28 miles per gallon. A hybrid version will get 80 miles per gallon. Tim Kuniskis is the Head of Passenger Car Brands for F-C-A. He says the hybrid can travel 30 miles on electric power alone.

“With the 30 mile range, the average minivan owner drives about 30 miles on their daily errands,” Kuniskis says. “So most minivan buyers will be able to get through their whole day without ever using the gas engine.”

Kuniskis says the Pacifica hybrid is the world’s first and only hybrid minivan. The vehicle also has an integrated vacuum, theater quality rear seat entertainment, and parallel and perpendicular park assist.
