Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush visits Michigan this week and is set to host a town hall meeting.

Bush is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Republican Party headquarters in Grand Rapids.

He will hold a town hall meeting before attending an invitation-only event at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.

Bush was last at the Kent County GOP offices about a year ago when he campaigned for Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and former U.S. Senate candidate Terri Lynn Land.

The trip to Michigan comes as Bush is attempting to reassure donors to his campaign and regain some of the cachet he had earlier in the presidential race before losing ground to rival contenders Ben Carson, Donald Trump and Marco Rubio.
