Lions, Chiefs Look to Shake Struggles at NFL Game in London

Detroit and Kansas City meet in England with few playoff hopes but the jobs of many players and coaches at stake.

The Detroit Lions search for a second win in what is rapidly becoming a lost season when the team plays in London, England this weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Both the one-win Lions and the two-win Chiefs have disappointed fans and front office officials alike this year.

So much so that Detroit parted ways with the coach of its offense this week.

But the Lions retain an offensive line that has been shoved around by opponents and a porous defense.

The Chiefs have used an aggressive, blitzing defense to at least be competitive.

But Kansas City’s offensive star, running back Jamaal Charles, is out with an injury.

Neither team has much chance of making the playoffs.

The game in London could help determine just how many of the players and coaches on the field are still there next year.
