Comedy Central is moving forward to create a new television series set in the Motor City. The show, called “Detroiters”, will focus on two characters as they attempt to revitalize the city through the power of advertising. Co-creators and co-writers, Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson, both Detroit natives, will star in the comedy show. Saturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels and actor Jason Sudeikis will serve as executive producers on the show. Sudeikis will also appear in a number of the episodes as an automotive executive. Comedy Central is ordering 10-episodes of “Detroiters” with production slated to begin next year.
