The Michigan-made Ford Mustang is hitting new records this year. The vehicle is the number one selling sports car in the world for the first half of 2015. Ford sales analyst Erich Merkle says the automaker is working to solidify that title by beginning production on a right-hand drive model.
“When we were first developing it four or five years ago, it was developed with the intent of it being a global vehicle for the first time. So it not only has a right-hand drive variant, but it meets all the standards for the global markets as well.”

Merkle says there is already a waiting list in the United Kingdom and Australia for the right-hand drive Mustang. The vehicle is currently sold in more than 100 countries.
