Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan says a new logistics center on the east side will create 150 jobs. A truckload service company called Linc will open its new facility at the I-94 Industrial Park near Mount Elliot Street.

Duggan says most positions will be filled by Detroiters. “More than half of all the work done on the construction will be done by city residents and then the permanent jobs that will be there, more than half of those will would be done by city residents,” Duggan says.

Duggan says anyone in the city can apply, but the company is seeking candidates who live closest to the facility. He says the first 30 jobs will be filled this fall and the remaining hires will be made next year.
