The nation’s largest grocery store chain is recalling Kroger Garlic Powder, Kroger Coarse Ground Black Pepper, Kroger Ground Cinnamon and Kroger Bac’n Buds due to the threat of Salmonella contamination.
The recall involves portions of Michigan, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Kentucky, Louisiana and Texas.
Kroger officials warn the contaminated spices and seasonings could cause severe illness if eaten, especially in the very young, the elderly and those with a weakened immune system.
