Gimme Some Mo: Mo Arts, Mo Crafts, Mo Food at Mo Pop Fest
The MO POP Festival brings Detroit arts and international indie music to the city’s West Riverfront Park

Some of the biggest bands in indie music are playing the “MO POP Festival” at Detroit’s West Riverfront Park this weekend. Concertgoers can also experience art installations curated by Jeremy Hansen from River’s Edge Gallery in Wyandotte, as well as a summer version of the Detroit Urban Craft Fair, co-produced by Cary Gustafson. Hansen and Gustafson spoke with WDET’s Travis Wright. Hansen says the art displayed at “MO POP” is as important as the music. The festival happens this weekend at Detroit’s West Riverfront Park and features bands such as Modest Mouse, Passion Pit, and King Tuff.
