Penske Says Race Team and Detroit are Poised for Victory

Legendary auto racing team owner Roger Penske says his cars, and the city of Detroit, are poised for victory.

Legendary auto racing team owner Roger Penske is on a personal high.

Last Sunday driver Juan Montoya handed Penske a historic 16th win as a team owner at the famed Indianapolis 500.

Now his team heads for this weekend’s twin Indy car races in Detroit, where Penske is not only the driving force behind the Grand Prix but also the M-1 light rail line and improvements made to both Belle Isle and the city’s downtown.

Penske tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter he hopes his cars are as dominant in Detroit as they were at Indy.
