Officials Say Detroit Grand Prix Is A Win For Belle Isle

Organizers of the Detroit Grand Prix say the race has brought year-round improvements to Belle Isle.

The Memorial Day holiday may be complete, but another weekend of activity looms in Detroit: The annual Grand Prix on Belle Isle.

Organizers say the series of events on the island, led by back-to-back Indycar races, continue to grow.

The chair of the Grand Prix – Penske Corporation’s Bud Denker – tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter the racing is also continuing to create a better year-round experience on Belle Isle.
