Baby, It’s Cold Outside…But WHYYY?

Arctic air brings wintry weather back to Detroit, but milder weather is coming. No, really, we swear.

Metro Detroiters who thought they saw the last of winter may have been disappointed–if not surprised–to see snow flurries again this late in April. But it’s not unprecedented. National Weather Service meteorologist Rich Pollman tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller this week’s cold spell is part of a large scale weather pattern bringing cold air into the Great Lakes from the arctic. He says more spring-like conditions will return this weekend.
