USW President Leo Gerard speaks about preventing a Pacific trade deal from being fast-tracked through Congress.
United Steelworkers International President Leo Gerard addressed Wayne State University’s Fifth Annual Labor Leaders on Labor Forum yesterday. Gerard says union members need to mobilize to prevent the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement from being fast-tracked through Congress. He says he is uneasy about the proposed trade deal between countries in the Asia-Pacific region and in North America.
Gerard also spoke with WDET’s Marissa Gawel about the significance of Right to Work legislation.
