Another company owned by Quicken Loans founder Dan Gilbert is moving to downtown Detroit. Officials with Birmingham-based Gas Station TV say the company will relocate its 80 employees to a facility on Woodward Avenue in Detroit. Company CEO David Leider says the firm’s new, 15-thousand square foot office will not be any more expensive than its current suburban location.

“Economically it worked out very well, in terms of moving downtown. Obviously parking is more expensive downtown, but you know that’s something that we’re handling for our team members, but the property itself is frankly more economical.”

Leider says the company installs mini-televisions showing content like ESPN and local weather in gas pumps at about 3,000 filling stations across the country. He says he expects the company headquarters to be operating in downtown Detroit by this summer.
