Dingell Building Bridges Amid Partisan Congressional Climate

New Michigan Congresswoman Debbie Dingell says she is reaching across the aisle to create bi-partisan legislation.

   After only about a hundred days in office Michigan Member of Congress Debbie Dingell is already being appointed to a senior position.

   Dingell is now one of several senior whips for Democrats in the US House, meaning she is supposed to help whip members of the party together to vote as a bloc on various issues.

   But Dingell tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter that in today’s political climate – with Republicans controlling both houses of Congress – reaching across the ideological aisle to find consensus is imperative…
