Pastors and Community Organize “March For Justice 2015”

The Reverend Doctor Larry Smith says he decided to march after noticing a lack of church participation on social issues.

A group of Detroit pastors and community members are coming together to hold a “March for Justice” Saturday.  The event falls on the heels of the 50th anniversary of the March on Selma. The Reverend Doctor Larry Smith is the Pastor of New Saint Mark Church in Detroit.  He’s also the coordinator of the march. Smith sat down with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn to talk about Saturday’s event.  Smith says he decided to march after noticing a lack of church participation on key social issues. The event begins at Chene Park at noon.  Registration begins at 9 a.m.
