Burq Off, an acclaimed one-woman show about growing up in a conservative Muslim home comes to the Arab American National Museum this week.  “Burq Off” is written and performed by Nadia Manzoor.  Through impersonations and comedy Manzoor tells her personal story of shifting back and forth between the conservative values in her home and the family and more secular values in school and society. Tara Elliot is the director of Burq Off. She took time to talk to WDET’s Martina Guzman about why she wanted to direct the comedy.
