Too Soon? 2016 Campaign For Rep. Miller’s Seat Is On
State Sen. Phil Pavlov says he’s in. Political writer Susan Demas says he won’t be alone.
The 2016 Congressional campaign began this week when State Senator Phil Pavlov said he’s running for Rep. Candice Miller’s U.S. House seat. She decided not to seek re-election next year, opening the door for Pavlov and perhaps several other Republican Party challengers. Susan Demas of Inside Michigan Politics tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller she expects a crowded GOP primary in Miller’s district, which includes Macomb County and the Thumb.
