Michigan Congresswoman attends 50th Anniversary of Selma March alongside President

President Obama will be joined by nearly 100 members of Congress in Selma, Alabama Saturday to honor the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday. That’s when Alabama State Troopers attacked Civil Rights marchers at the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma in 1965.

Among the legislators attending anniversary events is Michigan 14th District Representative Brenda Lawrence. She spoke about her plans with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn.
