Michigan’s Long, Dark Winters Can Lead to “Winter Blues” or More Severely, SAD

Metro Detroit has experienced a grey and record-breaking cold winter. Well, if this is making you feel depressed, you are probably not alone. There might be a clinical reason behind feeling down; you could suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) a type of depression related to changes in seasons. Ben Robinson is President of Rose Hill Center, a Michigan psychiatric center. He spoke to WDET’s Martina Guzman about the symptoms of SAD.
