Fuel Prices Have Been Rising Steadily All Year

From $2 a gallon at the start to $2.41 now. But that’s still over a dollar cheaper than last year.

The good news is that it’s still $1.27 less than the same time last year.

Gasoline prices have been steadily rising since the start of the year, after falling below $2 per gallon in January. AAA Michigan says the average price is now about $2.41. Spokeswoman Susan Hiltz tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller the price in Metro Detroit is almost 30 cents higher than it was a month ago. Click on the audio links above to hear the conversation.
