Democratic Incumbent Sander Levin

Levin was born and raised in Detroit, and resides in Royal Oak. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago, and a master’s in International Relations from Columbia University. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982 and is the Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee.

Republican Challenger Chris Morse

A resident of Bloomfield Township, Morse  served in the US Navy for 12 years, and in the Army for 5 years. He received a bachelor’s from Drury College in 1996 and worked as a stockbroker for Edward Jones Investments from 2004 to 2006.

Green Party Challenger John McDermott

McDermott is an attorney with a bachelor’s in accounting from Michigan State University. He earned a law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1994.

Libertarian Challenger Matthew Orlando

Orlando is a compliance analyst from Detroit who lives in Madison Heights. He graduated from Oakland University and lives with his wife and four children.
