Incumbent Brenda Lawrence has won the 14th Congressional District Democratic primary.

She beat challengers Vanessa Moss and Terrance Morrison with more than 85 percent of the vote.

But Lawrence says there is still a lot of work to do.

“I’m working on gun violence. Foster care is something that is very important and transportation this year, infrastructure is something I ran on and will continue to do that,” Lawrence says.

Lawrence says winning the primary shows her that she is really wanted by the people.

She’ll face Republican Howard Klausner in November’s general election.
