General Motors is recalling over 1 million older sedans and coupes in the United States. The automaker is reporting the vehicles, including the Buick Regal and Chevrolet Impala from the 1997 to 2004 model years, can leak oil, which can cause a fire.

Autotrader.com Senior Analyst Michelle Krebs says this is not the first time the company has recalled these particular vehicles.

“It was first recalled in 2008-2009. GM told owners to park the cars outside until the repairs could be made. The fires typically happened after the drivers turned off the engines. But then it became apparent that more problems were surfacing,” Krebs says.

GM says no crashes or fatalities have been reported because of this issue.

The company says the recalled vehicles have 3,8 liter V6 engines.
