Detroit music is like nothing else. From Motown to techno, punk rock to hip-hop, Detroit artists have impacted music around the world.

WDET is looking for Detroit’s next generation of artists making waves within the music scene. Over 100 Metro Detroit musicians entered NPR’s national Tiny Desk Contest, which you can watch all of them here.

WDET’s panel of judges picked the top 25. Now it’s your turn to pick your favorites!

Watch the videos below and vote for the best Tiny Desk entrant. You get one vote a day. Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on July 2, 2023.

The top five entrants with the most votes are invited to perform at WDET’s Sounds Like Detroit concert August 11 at New Center Park. Tickets to Sounds Like Detroit are on sale now at eventbrite.com. The fifth and sixth highest will get to perform at the iconic Concert of Colors Festival in Detroit this July (date TBD).
