Detroit Artist Paul Johnson’s “Color Blocking” Arrives at Cass Cafe
At just 27-years-old, Johnson has already reinvented his style a few times. His latest show at the Cass Cafe proves he isn’t done yet.

At just 27-years-old, Detroit artist Paul Johnson has already reinvented his style a few times.
His latest show entitled “Color Blocking” follows that trend of reinvention for the young artist.
On display through February, Johnson’s latest exhibition is being hosted at Cass Cafe — the longtime Cass Corridor restaurant that has given its walls to local artists for years.
Instead of strictly sticking to his paintings being hung on the walls, Johnson painted original works directly onto the walls of the restaurant creating a more impressive experience than similar exhibitions hosted there.
