In Great Lakes Now’s March First Friday Watch Party, go behind the scenes at the Belle Isle Aquarium to see the process of shopping, preparing and feeding the residents at the aquarium.
Aquarium Curator Paul Shuert takes us to Eastern Market for fresh veggies, and then and Senior Aquarist Amanda Murray takes us to the aquarium prep kitchen and then to the tanks to feed the fish!
In this watch party, we’ll check out a video documenting the weekly large feeding at the aquarium and then GLN Producer Anna Sysling speaks with Shuert and Murray about the process of feeding the fish and the different nutritional needs for the different species including seahorses, walleye and stingrays.
