What You’ll Hear on WDET for the 2020 Concert of Colors

Normally, the Concert of Colors brings together metro Detroiters of all backgrounds to celebrate diversity and global music.
This year, the celebration will continue — virtually.

Now in its 28th year, the Concert of Colors is a “diversity-themed music festival” featuring a vast array of artists who highlight the unique multiculturalism that makes Detroit integral to world music.
Performances for this year’s festival were prerecorded at the Detroit Film Theatre inside the Detroit Institute of Arts and will be broadcast online, on DPTV, and on WDET from Wednesday, October 7 through Sunday, October 11.
This year’s program will feature a special tribute to WDET’s own Ed Love, the Don Was Allstar Revue paying tribute to John Lee Hooker, and more.
