Nationwide traffic study also says Americans drive about 46 miles daily.

AAA says the average American drives almost 30 miles a day and spends 46 minutes behind the wheel. The auto club just finished studying people’s driving habits and found that factors such as age, sex, and education also influence how far and how long they drive. Michele Harris is AAA’s director of traffic safety culture. She tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller that women take more trips, but men drive more miles.
