DSO Classical Roots Celebration Honors African-American Legacy

Detroit Symphony Orchestra Honors African American Artists in Classical Music

 

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is holding its annual Classical Roots celebration this weekend.

The performances are designed to honor the legacy of African-Americans in classical music.

Paul Hogle is the DSO’s Executive Vice President. He spoke with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn. Hogle says the Classical Roots program is well into its fourth decade.

A special black tie event is scheduled for Saturday night
