Always a good day when you get to start off with a trio of Talking Heads songs in a row. That’s because their debut album “77” is getting the reissued/ box set/remastered/rarities treatment, including their full live show (and their last) at the legendary NYC punk club CBGB’s. The alternative version of “Psycho Killer” I played together features cellist Arthur Russell, and it somehow takes a perfect song to a whole new stratosphere.

I followed the line of nostalgia into music from Modern Lovers, Magnetic Fields and Morphine before snapping back into new releases from Soft Play, Joshua Idehen & the Social Singing Choir, Dummy, Squid and more.

Check the playlist below and listen to the episode for two weeks after it airs using the player above.
