One of my favorite weekends of the year — Concert of Colors — is coming up this weekend. It’s completely free, open to the public and a wonderful slice of the city’s sound, plus a bunch of stuff from around the world that wouldn’t otherwise be performing here. Truly hope ya can make it out!

I played a few cuts from the festival, including a Live on WDET session with we did earlier this year with Makoomba (you can watch the full performance in our WDET studios here), plus new music from Vox Sambou.

On top of all of that, Don Was joined me in studio to talk about his Detroit All Star Revue going down Sunday night at the Detroit Film Theatre inside the DIA, and Concert of Colors deputy director Ralph Valdez spotlighted some of his favorites happening during the festival.

On top of all of that, new music from GUM, Black Keys, Clairo and more.
