Detroit Filmmaker Explores Syrian Uprising
“What started with a march with [the Syrian] people… unfortunately it was forced to become a proxy war.”
Metro Detroiter Sam Kadi, who is originally from Syria, has a new movie exploring the unrest in his home country.
The film is called “Little Ghandi: The Lost Truth of the Syrian Uprising”.
“I will take it one step further and call it a Syrian Revolution,” says Director Sam Kadi.
Kadi joins Detroit Today host Stephen Henderson to discuss the film, which is screening at the Detroit Film Theater.
