Illuminating Display Comes to Michigan Science Center
A new exhibit features creatures that produce their own light.
What makes a firefly’s tail light up? A new exhibit at the Michigan Science Center explains how certain animals and plants produce their own light. Creatures of Light opens to the public September 24 at the museum in Midtown Detroit. The science center’s Visitor and Learning Engagement Director, Michelle Le Roy, tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller what bioluminescence is and what it does.
