CultureShift: Detroit boutique Coup D’etat, hat maker Boswell team up to celebrate small businesses
The local fashion boutique will welcome hat maker Boswell Millinery Nov. 30 for a special shop small business event highlighting Detroit’s role as a design capital.
Angela Wisniewski, owner of Coup D’etat in New Center, opened the boutique in November of 2019.
A Detroit boutique and designer are teaming up for a trunk show that doubles as a demonstration for why it’s important to shop small businesses this holiday season.
Angela Wisniewski is the owner and stylist behind Coup D’etat, the fashion boutique located inside historic Cadillac Place in the city’s New Center neighborhood.
On Thursday, Nov.30, she’ll welcome hat maker Boswell Millinery for a special shop small business event from 6 to 9 p.m. that highlights Detroit’s role as a design capital.
Wisniewski and Boswell of Boswell Millinery joined CultureShift on Tuesday to talk about their respective brands, the difference between cherish versus chore shopping and what shopping small businesses can do for local retailers this holiday season.
