Welcome to the Detroit Evening Report, a daily round-up of news that city residents need to know.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy says she will not file charges against abortion providers or women should the state’s laws change. A draft opinion from the U.S. Supreme Court was leaked to the media earlier this week. It indicates the court’s willingness to overturn Roe v. Wade, which made abortions legal in 1973.  If the landmark ruling is overturned, Michigan would revert to a 1931 law that makes all abortions illegal except to save the live of the mother.
